Beurer Pulse Oximeter PO 40

A pulse oximeter is used for non-invasive measurements of haemoglobin oxygen saturation of arterial blood vessels (SpO2), heart rate (PRBP) and pulse modulation index (PMI). Measure important parameters for assessing respiratory function. The pulse oximeter used to measure the two light rays of different wavelengths which are focused on the finger inserted into the device.
The oximeter is suitable for use both in the private environment (at home and on the road), as well as in healthcare facilities. It is necessary especially for high-risk patients with heart disease, asthma, but also for athletes and healthy people, who move at high altitude (mountain climbers, skiers and sports fliers).

Decreased Oxygen Saturation

A sudden decrease in oxygen saturation, with accompanying symptoms or without them, must be addressed immediately by a physician, as it may even be life-threatening. People with low haemoglobin oxygen saturation are more likely to experience these symptoms: dyspnoea, increased heart rate, decreased performance, nervousness or sudden sweating. 

Identified decreased oxygen saturation requires monitoring using a pulse oximeter and controls by a physician. The low value of oxygen saturation of haemoglobin refers mainly to diseases and diseases of the respiratory tract, asthma, cardiac insufficiency, etc.
