The AXAGON PCEM2-D PCIe adapter is an effective solution for desktop computers that lack M.2 slots. Connect both NVMe and SATA drives
The adapter includes two different slots for complete flexibility. The first, an M-key slot, is for NVMe M.2 drives. Its direct connection to the PCIe bus bypasses the limits of the older interface and transfers data at full speed. The second, a B-key slot, is used to connect SATA M.2 drives. To make it work, simply connect the card to a free SATA port on the motherboard with the included cable. Both drives can operate at the same time.
Universal design and heat dissipation
The controller offers wide compatibility with M.2 drives. It supports the installation of all common lengths from 2230 to 22110 and can handle both single-sided and double-sided modules without any capacity limitations. To help maintain stable performance, copper-plated holes on the PCB improve the dissipation of heat generated during SSD operation. The card also supports booting the system from the connected drive.
Controller installation
Installing the card requires no drivers thanks to its Plug and Play support. The package includes all the accessories needed for mounting the controller and the drives themselves, including thermal pads, a screwdriver, and a SATA data cable. For installation in slim computer cases, the package includes a low-profile bracket that can easily be swapped with the standard one. A pair of LEDs on the card clearly indicates power and data transfer in both M.2 slots.
