The ASUS TUF-BE6500 WiFi router uses the WiFi 7 standard and transmits a signal in two frequency bands: 2.4GHz, which reaches speeds of up to 688Mbps, and 5GHz, which reaches speeds of up to 5,764Mbps, with a total transfer speed of up to 6,500Mbps. The 214 × 304 × 174mm chassis houses six fixed external antennas and weighs 772g. The hardware is powered by a 1.5GHz quad-core processor, which is complemented by 1GB of RAM and 256MB of flash memory. The device supports wireless router, access point, repeater, AiMesh node, and Media Bridge operating modes. The Multi-Link Operation feature allows simultaneous multi-band connections for increased stability and reduced latency. 4096-QAM technology increases data transfer speeds compared to previous standards.

Mesh System
AiMesh technology links multiple compatible routers into a single, seamless network with a single name. Users can move freely around the house, while the system automatically switches client devices to the strongest node. The wireless system eliminates dead spots and covers even large or multi-storey buildings. Adding more units expands the network as needed.
Advanced Network Security
The AiProtection Pro security system protects the internal network from external threats and blocks access to malicious websites. Parental controls filter inappropriate content and limit the time individual users spend on the internet. WPA/WPA2/WPA3 Personal and WPA/WPA2/WPA3 Enterprise encryption, along with Open System & OWE support, prevents unauthorised access to transmitted data. The integrated VPN server and VPN client support WireGuard, OpenVPN, IPSec, PPTP, and L2TP protocols for secure remote connections. Network security includes AiProtection Pro, a Two-Way Intrusion Prevention System (Two-Way IPS), malicious site blocking, infected device prevention and blocking, and a firewall with keyword and URL filtering capabilities.
Connectivity Options
Physical connectivity is provided by four high-speed ports that operate at 2.5Gbps. One port is used for the WAN internet connection, and the remaining three ports function as LAN ports for end devices. Fast wired connectivity is complemented by a USB interface for sharing data on the local network or connecting a backup modem. The available ports are: 1 × 2.5Gbps WAN port, 3 × 2.5Gbps LAN ports, 1 × USB 3.2 Gen1.
