Excellent flexibility
The DSL-N16 Router offers two ways to connect to the Internet. You can choose between DSL and the Ethernet WAN software interface. The Asus DSL-N16 can be used as a DSL modem with a WiFi router or as a separate WiFi router. With the ability to switch between individual connections if one fails or the option to combine multiple broadband connections to enhance the overall bandwidth, it is the ideal solution if you want a reliable and always available Internet connection.
Optimisation with ASUSWRT interface
With the intuitive ASUSWRT user interface, you can find all the features for setting, monitoring, and managing your network and connected applications in one place. Useful features such as 30 second setup, multiple device detection, and flexible settings make it possible to use the network to the fullest. ASUSWRT now also offers special DSL tools that display a signal-to-noise ratio in dB, which allows you to control DSL connection stability.

Managing guest access to the network
You can now share your Internet connection securely with your guests without having to communicate your personal password or network resources. ASUS Guest Network allows you to create up to three independent networks for guests with separate passwords and access permissions. Guests will not be able to access your primary network or other connected devices.
Network traffic monitoring
The intuitive ASUSWRT graphics interface is complemented by many special ADSL-related enhancements, such as a signal-to-noise tool (SNR) to monitor the stability of your ADSL connection. The network traffic monitoring tool displays data that was sent and received via WAN, wired and wireless networks.
VPN server support
The DSL-N16 router offers a simple VPN server and VPN client setup for secure and private home network or internet access. You can easily set up a VPN server with PPTP support without having to use a paid VPN service or a separate VPN server.
