The Time Capsule also functions as a router, offering connection to the internet with support for modern WiFi. It works simultaneously at 2.4GHz and 5GHz, which guarantees the highest possible performance and the possibility to have a range of devices connected to the WiFi netowrk at the same time. The main advantage of simultaneous operation on 2 bands, is that traffic can be distributed, reducing the network load. Everyday tasks, such as browsing, can operate on the 2.4 GHz band, whereas more challenging tasks, which place higher demands on the data rate, can operate on the 5GHz band. With the use of new technologies, the 802.11ac router is up to 3x faster than 802.11n wireless transmissions (up to 1300Mbps).
The USB port allows the network to connect with storage devices and printers, allowing you to easily share files or print documents. Data content that you have downloaded from the internet can be forwarded to the internal storage or the USB drive and it will be possible to share this content with other devices. Three gigabit connectors will allow you to connect to your computers, network drives, desktop player, Smart TV or other network devices. The router is very easy to install, even if you have not done anything similar before.
