Automatic colour calibration
The built-in motorised calibrator performs automatic colour adjustments without the need to connect external probes. The system works with a colour deviation accuracy of Delta E < 1 and saves profiles directly to the screen's memory on the internal scaler IC chip. Users can run the calibration at any time or schedule it for non-working hours via the OSD menu. This hardware calibration works with Calman Ready and ColourSpace Integration software tools to facilitate colour profile management on both Windows and macOS.
Advanced HDR modes
The screen fully meets the demanding requirements for creating content with a high dynamic range. It supports Dolby Vision, HLG and HDR10 standards, complemented by VESA DisplayHDR True Black 400 certification. For the HDR10 format, you can choose from PQ Hard Clip, PQ Optimized and PQ Basic curves for different types of projects. The HDR brightness goes up to 1000 cd/m², revealing even the finest details in dark scenes and offering a contrast ratio of 1,500,000:1.
Protective panel technology
The integrated ASUS OLED Care system protects the display panel from the risk of permanent burn-in from static elements. It uses functions such as pixel shift, a screen saver, Off Sensing and automatic brightness reduction for static logos, video frames or the taskbar. The screen protection offers several adjustable sensitivity levels. In addition, a proximity sensor dims the backlight when no one is sitting in front of the screen, reducing strain on the panel.
Smooth rendering with a 240Hz refresh rate
The high 240Hz refresh rate provides a smooth image when testing games and working with fast-paced video. Adaptive-Sync technology and support for variable refresh rate (VRR) synchronise the graphics card with the monitor, preventing screen tearing and distortion. The fast rendering reduces flicker and is compatible with systems using Apple ProMotion technology. A 0.1ms response time eliminates motion blur in dynamic scenes.
Detailed 4K resolution and professional 12G-SDI video interface
The 3840 × 2160 resolution display shows text and graphics with high sharpness on a 16:9 aspect ratio screen. The matte surface effectively suppresses reflections from ambient light, making it easier to work in brightly lit rooms. Wide viewing angles of 178° horizontally and vertically are complemented by a pixel pitch of 0.155mm for fine detail. For filmmakers and television production, there is a 12G-SDI standard that handles uncompressed 4K video transmission at 60Hz with very low latency. The interface uses reliable BNC connectors with a lock to prevent accidental cable disconnection. This allows the monitor to be plugged directly into professional cameras and production switchers on a film set.
Increase productivity with the KVM function and flexible installation options
The integrated KVM switch lets you control two separate computers with a single keyboard and mouse using a dedicated USB-C port. Users can monitor signals from multiple sources simultaneously with Picture-by-Picture and Picture-in-Picture modes, which facilitate multitasking. In addition, the Daisy Chain function enables several displays to be chained together via a single Thunderbolt 4 cable to extend the workspace. The package includes a classic ergonomic stand and a space-saving small stand for flexible placement on a desk, with a weight of 5.36kg with the stand. It also comes with a detachable monitor hood, which prevents ambient light from hitting the panel surface and includes a top opening for calibrators. A metal handle at the top makes it easy to carry the device between workplaces, and the included clips help with cable management.
Adjustable stand ergonomics
The stand's design offers height adjustment from 0 to 130mm and screen tilt from -5° to +23°. You can also swivel it from -30° to +30° or pivot it 90 degrees into portrait mode in either direction, from -90° to +90°, for working with long documents or code. The rear features VESA 100 × 100 mm mounting holes for wall or arm mounting. An ambient light sensor automatically adjusts the screen brightness according to the current light conditions in the room. A pair of built-in speakers, each with an output of 2W, provides the audio. Furthermore, a built-in proximity sensor dims the brightness when no one is in front of the screen. TÜV-certified Low Blue Light and Flicker-free technologies help to protect your eyes.
Monitor connectivity
During normal operation, the power consumption in SDR mode is 45kWh per 1000 hours, placing the monitor in energy class G. When displaying with high dynamic range (HDR), consumption rises to 50kWh per 1000 hours. The monitor is powered from the mains at 100–240V with a frequency of 50/60Hz, and a mechanical switch reduces consumption to 0W. In standby mode, the power consumption drops to just 0.5W.
