The ZyXEL GS1200-8HP V3 smart switch is designed for the needs of small business networks. It offers eight gigabit ports, four of which support Power over Ethernet (PoE+). This allows you to easily connect and power devices like IP cameras, VoIP phones, or wireless access points without needing additional power adapters. The switch supports advanced Layer 2 management features, including QoS for traffic prioritisation and VLAN for network segmentation, enabling you to manage network traffic effectively.

Advanced network management features

This switch offers features usually found in more expensive models. With support for link aggregation and static routing, you can optimise the performance and structure of your network. Link aggregation (LACP) lets you combine multiple physical ports into a single logical channel, increasing overall throughput and providing a backup connection if one of the ports fails. Static routing enables you to manually configure paths for network traffic between different VLAN segments without needing a full-featured router. In addition, the PoE Auto Recovery feature monitors connected PoE devices and automatically reboots them if they fail, saving time and maintenance costs.
