6.72" display with 120Hz refresh rate and 1000 nits brightness
The large 6.72" panel of the Vivo Y31 5G offers plenty of space for comfortable video viewing, web browsing and navigation. The 120Hz refresh rate adds smoothness when scrolling through social media and during general system operation. A brightness of up to 1000 nits in HBM mode ensures decent readability even outdoors in the sun. The Vivo Y31 5G thus offers a display that is a pleasant surprise in everyday use. The back of the Vivo Y31 5G features an elegant camera module with a Dynamic Light function. The backlighting around the module changes colour and serves as both a stylish design element and a practical helper – it alerts you to incoming calls, messages or notifications without you having to turn the phone display-up. This means the Vivo Y31 5G offers a detail in its price class that you'd normally only find on more expensive models.
50MP main camera with f/1.8 aperture and phase detection autofocus
The Vivo Y31 5G's main sensor offers a resolution of 50MP and an f/1.8 aperture, which lets in plenty of light even in dimmer conditions. The phase detection autofocus quickly locks onto your subject and captures it sharply, even in motion. The full 50MP mode is great for landscapes, architecture and snapshots where you'll appreciate the freedom to crop later. For everyday shooting, from food to documents to trips out, the Vivo Y31 5G delivers reliable results. The photographic capabilities of the Vivo Y31 5G go beyond a simple point-and-shoot. Night mode brings out details and colours even in low light, while the waterproof photography mode takes advantage of the IP68 rating and turns the phone into a simple underwater camera. Pro mode lets you manually set key image parameters, and panorama captures vast landscapes in one smooth shot. Time-lapse, slow-motion and a document correction mode, which straightens photographed text into a readable format, are also available.
The Vivo Y31 5G uses a Snapdragon 4 Gen 2 with 5G connectivity
The 4-nanometre Qualcomm Snapdragon 4 Gen 2 processor ensures smooth system performance, swift app launches and comfortable gaming. Six gigabytes of LPDDR4X RAM can be virtually expanded by another 6GB from the storage, so switching between multiple apps remains lag-free. The fast 256GB UFS 3.1 storage then eliminates waiting during installation and data loading. Support for 5G networks with download speeds of up to 2.56Gbps ensures lightning-fast content downloads, smooth streaming and high-quality video calls, even on the go.
6500mAh battery for a full day without compromise
A capacity of 6500mAh gives the Vivo Y31 5G above-average battery life you can rely on. It handles a full day of scrolling through social media, navigation, watching videos and long video calls with no problem, and lasts over three weeks on standby. It can handle up to 34 hours of calls over the 5G network without recharging. In short, the Vivo Y31 5G is a phone for those who don't want to constantly be watching their battery level. When the power does eventually run out, 44W FlashCharge will get the Vivo Y31 5G back to a full charge in under two hours. A short lunch or coffee break is enough for a significant top-up. The charging is compatible with PD3.0 PPS and UFCS protocols and can also handle standard 10W charging, so you can reliably charge the phone with virtually any USB-C charger.
IP68 and IP69* rating for rain, dust and more demanding conditions
The Vivo Y31 5G isn't afraid of real life. The IP68* certification protects the phone when submerged in water to a depth of 1.5 metres, and IP69* guarantees resistance even against high-pressure water jets from various angles. Dust, sand, rain and wet hands are no problem, and the waterproof underwater photography mode lets you capture shots you wouldn't dare take with other phones in this price range. In short, the Vivo Y31 5G is a phone you can take on a trip, on your bike, or to the water without worry. The Vivo Y31 5G has passed demanding durability tests and received SGS Gold Five-Star certification, confirming its superior build quality. Military-grade shock absorption protects the phone from unexpected falls, and it passed a series of durability tests with flying colours – 42000 minor drops, 150000 power button presses, 70000 volume button presses and 10000 USB connector plug-in and unplug cycles. The Vivo Y31 5G is therefore a phone built for years of reliable use that will withstand both normal and less careful handling.
