Size of modern media puts more pressure on volume storage disk. Therefore penetrated Blu-ray technology, which is able to keep up those claims. Writing to disk is performed using a blue laser with a shorter wavelength than was the case with the red laser used for DVDs. Thus, the blue laser can write smaller data pits and therefore vastly increase the amount of data on disk. Blu-ray BD-R XL Verbatim also have a third receiving layer, thereby climbing their total capacity for up to 100 gigabytes! Great for storing large volume of data, such as HD movies, music, photos and other data on the volume-consuming.
Compatible with players and baking drives BD-XL.
