Ubiquiti UniFi L3 USW-Pro-Max-16-PoE

The Ubiquiti UniFi USW-Pro-Max-16-PoE L3 switch is designed to manage and extend business networks. It offers a total of 16 ports, four of which operate at 2.5 Gb/s and twelve at 1 Gb/s. Two 10 Gb/s SFP+ ports are provided for high-speed connections to the backbone network or servers. All RJ-45 ports support Power over Ethernet with a total PoE budget of 180 W. Innovative Etherlighting technology provides visual indication of each port’s status. Management is carried out centrally via the UniFi Controller.

Flexible power supply and multi-gigabit connectivity

The switch is equipped with advanced Power over Ethernet (PoE) functionality, supporting PoE, PoE+ and PoE++ standards. This enables it to deliver up to 60 W of power on any port, making it suitable for powering power-hungry devices such as access points or PTZ cameras. The total PoE budget of 180 W covers the needs of most installations. The port configuration combines twelve Gigabit ports for standard devices, four 2.5 Gb/s ports for faster clients and two 10 Gb/s SFP+ ports, which serve as high-speed uplinks to the network backbone.

Advanced L3 features and centralised management

As an L3 switch, it offers advanced features for managing network traffic. It supports static routing, which enables network segmentation and the control of communication between different subnets without the need for an external router. L2 features are also available, such as VLANs for traffic separation, QoS for prioritising data flows, and LACP for link aggregation and increased throughput. All configuration and monitoring are carried out centrally via the UniFi Controller software, which is also available as a mobile app for remote management.

Innovative signalling and reliable design

A unique feature of this model is Etherlighting technology. Each port is equipped with a backlight that visually indicates its status, current speed, PoE power activity or VLAN membership. This feature significantly simplifies network diagnostics and the identification of connected devices directly on the switch panel. The metal casing and rack-mount design ensure mechanical durability and easy installation in standard 19-inch racks. The switch is designed for reliable operation at temperatures ranging from -5 to 40 °C.
