TP-Link EAP725-Wall, Omada

TP-Link EAP725-Wall, Omada
The TP-Link EAP725-Wall with Omada is a dual-band wall-mounted WiFi Access Point with the Wi-Fi 7 (802.11be) standard, providing a total transfer speed of up to 3570Mbps. This PoE Access Point splits the performance into 2882Mbps on the 5GHz band and 688Mbps on the 2.4GHz band for smooth operation with over 250 connected clients. The Omada SDN platform provides central management and configuration for the entire network. Thanks to support for 802.3af/at/bt PoE standards, installation is flexible and doesn't require a nearby power socket.
Key features of the TP-Link EAP725-Wall with Omada WiFi access point

Wi-Fi connectivity and speed
The TP-Link EAP725-Wall access point uses the 802.11be (Wi-Fi 7) standard and operates on two frequency bands. On the 5GHz band, it reaches speeds of 2882Mbps, and on the 2.4GHz band, 688Mbps. It uses OFDMA and 2×2 MIMO technologies to optimise network traffic and connection stability. Four internal antennas broadcast the signal with a gain of 2× 4dBi for the 2.4GHz band and 2× 5dBi for the 5GHz band.
Mesh and coverage
Integration into the Omada SDN platform brings support for Omada Mesh technology. This creates a unified network with seamless roaming between individual access points. The device covers an area of up to 50m² and can serve more than 250 connected devices at once. Configuring multiple points under a single network name (SSID) unifies both management and user access.
Network security
WPA2 and WPA3 encryption standards, including their Enterprise variants, protect the wireless network. The system supports traffic segmentation by creating up to 16 separate SSIDs. A separate guest network (Guest Zone) is used for access control, along with device filtering based on MAC addresses. Security is further enhanced by features for detecting unauthorised access points and a Captive Portal with authentication, for example, via SMS.
Connectivity options
The access point's connector set includes two 2.5GbE and two gigabit Ethernet RJ-45 ports for connecting other network elements. The device is powered exclusively by an Ethernet cable via PoE technology with 802.3af, 802.3at, or 803.3bt standards, which eliminates the need for a separate power adapter.
