Revolutionary chassis and modular design
The chassis of the Traxxas X-Maxx RC car is made of a composite moulding, which is very rigid and light at the same time thanks to its spatial concept. As with other Traxxas RC cars, the chassis is modular, meaning that it consists of a central section, a front section and a rear section. The modular design allows the entire front and rear to be removed. In just a few minutes you have full access to easy servicing and setup of your model. The modularity of the car's chassis simplifies maintenance, it's easy to get to the differentials etc. In addition, in very severe crashes, you don't have to replace the entire chassis of the model, but only the damaged part.
Traxxas Stability Management
The Traxxas Stability Management (TSM) system not only allows you to experience power, speed, acceleration and cornering at extreme speeds, but also makes it much easier to steer and control on slippery surfaces such as dust, smooth concrete or even ice and snow. In the receiver there is a MEMS 3-axis gyro and accelerometer, which evaluates the movement of the model 100 times per second and corrects the direction of travel of the model by appropriate interventions in the steering of the front wheels. Traxxas TSM does not limit engine power - you have 100% control over engine power. The algorithms are tuned for each model separately. The level of assistance is set using the multi-function controller on the transmitter or the Traxxas Link app, as appropriate.
Cush drive absorption system and differentials
The innovative Cush drive system uses a special part equipped with elastomeric silentblocks to absorb the engine shock. The system replaces the friction clutch and allows for a more efficient and reliable drive without complex adjustments. To distribute the power of the 4×4 drive, the model is equipped with front, centre and rear differentials. The center differential uses a very thick 20M cSt oil to harness full power without slipping under lightning acceleration. The axle differentials are fitted with four metal gears for durability and long life.
Bodywork, steel half-shafts, sharp steering and shock absorbers
A revolutionary new feature is the new X-Maxx car body attachment system. The car body is not fastened with staples, but with a special clip. This eliminates unsightly body mounts and removing the body is now a matter of seconds. Robust steel driveshafts with splined differential output safely transfer full engine power to the wheels. Thanks to the CV joint design, the shafts run smoothly in every suspension position. The Dual-Bellcrank steering system ensures fast and accurate steering response. The cam servo is located at the top of the column and protects the steering from impacts. The X-Maxx GTX's massive shock absorbers have 5.2 mm diameter piston rods and are made of high-strength steel. The attachment of the shock absorbers to the arms and tower is dual. All pins are made of 4 mm steel. The well dimensioned space shock towers allow riding even in very difficult terrain.
Real-time telemetry, automatically rotated on wheels
The exclusive controller with advanced electronics is equipped for real-time telemetry measurements. Using a wireless Bluetooth module (sold separately) and the Traxxas link app, you can monitor speed, engine speed and battery voltage directly in real time on your phone. The controller provides telemetry data and no additional sensors are required. The Self-righting function is activated remotely via the transmitter, by rapidly accelerating and braking the model will gradually swing and turn back on its wheels.
Recommended accessories
To make the model operational, you need 4× AA batteries for the transmitter, 2× drive batteries and a charger for the drive batteries.
Traxxas universal chargers can charge Traxxas LiPo and NiMH batteries. Traxxas chargers are a simple and safe way to charge batteries. Traxxas uses the unique iD system, so you can always be sure that everything is plugged in simply and safely. There is an integrated chip in the battery connector that the Traxxas charger automatically detects and sets all battery charging parameters for you. For the normal operation of a Traxxas RC car you need bolt glue, good quality tyre glue, silicone shock absorber oil and a set of screwdrivers.
