The board game Sobek is designed for 2 players who are transported to a marketplace located near the construction site of a new temple dedicated to the god Sobek, where two guilds of merchants compete for the favour of customers. The goal of the players will be to select the most suitable pieces and to use powerful personal effects at the right moment. Corruption must be avoided, however, for Sobek will include the favour of a more honest merchant. The game Sobek is suitable for children from 10 years old.

Game description
The game takes place on a dynamically changing game plan where you take turns performing one of three actions: acquire pieces from the marketplace, sell sets of goods or use influencer effects. The key element is the wooden Ankh, whose position and orientation on the marketplace determines which pieces you can get in your turn. Every step is important, because while selecting more distant pieces can secure valuable goods, it will also increase your level of corruption, which can ruin your victory at the end of the game. Throughout the game, you will collect sets of item pieces with different numbers of scarabs, which will yield victory points at the end of the game. The person pieces then offer special effects that can help you gain an advantage or surprise your opponent. At the end of the game, the points for sold sets of goods and crate tokens are added up, with the player with the lower corruption level getting bonus crates.
