Maisto Chevrolet 454 SS Pick-up 1993 1:24

The 1993 Chevrolet 454 SS Pick-Up 1:24 scale model by Maisto is a detailed metal model of a classic American pickup truck. The body is cast metal, with plastic parts for the smaller parts such as mirrors, front grille, exhausts and some interior elements. The paint is well varnished, the decal markings "454 SS" and other inscriptions are clearly legible and accurately set. The doors can be opened, allowing a better view of the cockpit and the car's interior. The interior is crafted with the real car in mind, the seats, dashboard, steering wheel are all detailed, though of course without functional features like the opening hood or interactive controls. The original car was produced in 1990-1993. The big-block 7.4-liter V8 engine provided around 255 horsepower in the final years of production and around 405 lb-ft of torque thanks to pressurized fuel injection through the throttle body. The car had a lowered chassis and sport settings from the factory, stiffer springs, quality shock absorbers (Bilstein brand on the original), faster steering ratio. The Maisto model piece is not a toy for small children because of the small parts, but for older collectors it is a great decorative element.
