Sailing boats Vaurien
The sailing boat Vaurien is the extended boat of the international regatta. Jean Jacques Herbulot designed a lightweight and inexpensive boat in 1951 out of plywood for the Les Glénans sailing school. The International Sailing Federation (ISAF) recognized Vaurient as one international design in 1961. More than 36,000 ships were built. Vaurien is stable and easy to master for beginners. Vaurien is well suited for sailing training - sailing at his optimum speed requires skill at the helm and good teamwork.
Set of drawings
The set contains a complete set of drawings documentation with the building process, the parts are carefully marked on the drawing and there is also a list of individual parts of the model.
Building difficulty 2
Kits for intermediate builders are suitable for builders who have already built a simple model for beginners and have basic modelling experience. Models of this difficulty are more elaborate, contain more details and are more time consuming to build.
Recommended equipment for building the model
It is recommended to buy tools, glue and paint for the construction. We recommend the Modelcraft Ship Modeler Tool Set (12 piece set) or the Modelcraft Modeler Tool Set (18 piece set). It is also recommended to purchase nylon clamps and indispensable modeling pins. For finishing, precision cutting, gluing of parts and also as a protection of the table it is recommended to use a modelling mat. For bonding, universal dispersion adhesive and Robitronic medium instant adhesive (20 ml) are recommended. For painting acrylic enamel paints. The paints are applied with quality brushes - flat brushes for larger areas and round brushes for details.
