Krick Borkum kit without steam machine

Krick Borkum kit without steam machine
The Krick Borkum model kit is a highly detailed replica of a classic steam barge in 1:12 scale. Traditionally, the steam harbour barge was used to tow ships in harbours, manoeuvre cargo and for smaller transports. The Borkum model captures the rugged character of these boats and gives modelers the opportunity to build a functional and visually appealing model with the option of a steam engine or electric motor of their choice. The kit contains all important mechanical parts - propeller, shaft, rudder, bearings and necessary connecting components. For easy orientation during construction, a 1:1 scale plan and a manual with clear instructions in several languages, including Czech, are included. The model is suitable for more advanced modelers who have some experience with building ships, either steam or electric.

Quality construction with steam or electric drive options
The hull of the model is made of strong and waterproof ABS plastic, which ensures excellent durability in water operation and simplicity in assembly. The superstructure, deck and other parts are made of high quality wood with precise laser cutting, which guarantees easy fitting of individual parts and high aesthetic standard of the final model. The design is designed to allow the installation of a smaller steam machine (e.g. Krick Alex or Victor) with the appropriate gas tank. Alternatively, an electric drive can be used, making the model flexible for different builder preferences.

Impressive handling and realistic appearance
Once completed, the Borkum offers not only excellent handling and stability on the water, but also a very realistic appearance that will stand out when sailing and as a static exhibit. Its size and traditional look make it ideal for open water and model shows. Overall, it is a technically and visually sophisticated project that offers a deeper modelling experience and the possibility to customize the final design to your own liking.
