Hitster Movies and TV

Hitster Movies and TV

Test your knowledge of iconic silver screen melodies
With the Hitster Movies & TV Soundtracks expansion for the popular party game, you can put your knowledge of famous film and TV series melodies to the test. The principle of the game is the same as the original Hitster—players use a QR code to play a song and their task is to place it correctly on their timeline. The first player to correctly arrange 10 songs by their release date becomes the winner and earns the title of Hitster. The Hitster Movies & TV Soundtracks expansion cannot be played on its own; you need the base game to play. It is designed for 2–10 players aged 16 and over. Set aside approximately 30 minutes for one game.

Fun for lovers of film and television melodies
At the start of a game of Hitster Movies & TV Soundtracks, each player receives one music card (face up), which serves as the beginning of their timeline. The first player to take a turn scans the QR code of the music card on top of the draw pile using the app. The player on their left then places the card (face down) on their timeline after the song has played. The card is then turned over to check if it is in the correct chronological position. If it is, the player keeps it. The first player to correctly arrange 10 cards wins.

More Strategy with Tokens
If you want to enhance your game of Hitster Movies & TV Soundtracks, you can include tokens. Each player receives two at the beginning, and can earn more during the game (up to a maximum of 5) by correctly naming the song and artist. On their turn, a player can spend one of their tokens to skip the current song and draw a new music card. They can also use a token on an opponent's turn if they believe the other player has placed a music card incorrectly on their timeline. If they are right, they get to add that card to their own timeline. At any time, 3 tokens can be exchanged to place a music card from the draw pile onto your own timeline.

For Beginners and Music Experts Alike
The Hitster Movies & TV Soundtracks expansion can be played at an advanced level, where you need to state the artist and song title to claim a music card, while the expert challenge also requires you to state the exact year of release. The game can also be played individually or in teams, and there is a cooperative mode where players work together to place music cards on the timeline. To play the game itself, you need a smart device with the free Hitster app installed and a Spotify streaming service, either the free or Premium version.
