It's up to you how your team will look and if you can lead it to the title.
Phase 1
Phase 1 - Draft. In card games, the standard draft process is for players to be dealt a number of cards, choose one, and pass the remaining cards to the next player. Hockey player cards are being drafted in the game. There are 110 in total and your goal is to, to draft players in the right positions (LK, C, PK, O, B) and preferably also acquire more players from specific clubs. After 2 rounds of the draft, during which you will receive 12 Hockey Cards, you will create your starting lineup for the first round of the second part of the game.
Phase 2
Phase 2 - Season. The main part of the game, in which you and your team fight for victory. The season consists of several rounds, during which you and your team compete in matches against other players and "virtual" opponents. Before matches, event cards are revealed that affect all players during the current round. Players themselves can change the course of the game with coaching cards, but they only have 3 for the whole season, so you need to consider their use. Matches are scored by dice rolls, but of course there are some interesting mechanics and rule twists hidden behind this. After every game there will be forced and voluntary substitutions, so don't think that you can just draft a strong starting lineup and you're done.
Player Cards
In the game you will find 6 hockey player cards (center, left wing, right wing, 2 defenders, goalkeeper) from each of the 14 clubs, that played the 2022/2023 season + 3 other teams, that have won the title in the 30-year history of the Extraliga, plus 8 cards of legends of the pre-Extraliga era. On the cards you will find the player's position, club affiliation, how many years he has spent in the Extraleague with the club and how many titles he has won with the club. Two players from each club have an extra special ability assigned to them. which allows them to manipulate the dice during matches.
