What the game is about
The anniversary edition remains simple and ingenious. The deck of cards contains several Explosive Kittens - if you get one of them, you explode immediately and are finished. The only rescue is the Disarm card, which allows you to calm the kitten down - for example, by scratching its tummy or using a laser pointer. The goal is to survive as long as possible, avoid the explosion and let everyone else burn in feline glory.

To celebrate the game's 10th anniversary, you'll find 8 legendary cards in the pack that have been out of print for years. Each has its own story and adds a dose of utter chaos to the game. Amateur Archaeologist Card - Go back in time and relive the past, remove a card from the discard deck and return it to play to shuffle the action on the table. With the Stalker card, you can peek into your opponent's hand and find out what he's up to - just beware, revealing strange cards can have explosive consequences. Try your luck in a rock, paper, scissors duel with the Thick Eyes card - the winner gets to lick cards from the discard deck and can unexpectedly change the course of the entire game. Hustopyr card - place a card in front of your opponent - they must discard one card three rounds in a row. The perfect tool for revenge and chaos. With the Robin Hood card, you steal cards from the rich and deal them at will. The table is turned upside down and you become the cat's hero and villain at the same time. With the Twins card, all players must hand over all their pairs of cards to you. The combo is as dangerous as it is cute. The Fighting Hamster forces your opponent to discard all but one card. A small, furry and surprisingly destructive adversary that will mess with your chances. Plus Plus Card - Play this card with another card and its effect is instantly amplified. When you need to turn the game on its head, this is your secret weapon.
History of the game and its creators
Explosive Kittens was created in 2015 by American game designer Elan Lee, illustrator Matthew Inman (author of the famous comic The Oatmeal) and graphic designer Shane Small. The publisher is Exploding Kittens, which literally rewrote the history of crowdfunding with this game - over 219,000 people backed the project on Kickstarter, making it one of the most successful campaigns of all time. Explosive Kittens has become a phenomenon, spawning extensions, toys and a mobile app.
