In 1985, the founders of the Classic Aircraft Foundation decided to breathe new life into the iconic YMF, and today there is a modern tribute to the biplane - the E-flite UMX WACO, which has been updated and improved to make it even easier and more fun to fly. Equipped with the optional SAFE Select feature, it is compatible with both 2S and 3S batteries, while providing real-time battery voltage telemetry to compatible transmitters. Thanks to its ultra-micro size, the UMX WACO can be piloted indoors in gyms or other suitable areas, but also outdoors in gardens, parks or sports fields. Bind-N-Fly (BNF) models allow you to get into the air quickly and with the best possible flying experience.

Exclusive technology
The UMX WACO features Spektrum's exclusive AS3X and SAFE Select technologies. The AS3X works in the background, smoothing out the effects of wind and turbulence to create a stable and precise flight performance that makes you feel like you're piloting a much larger aircraft. Optional SAFE Select feature adds pitch and roll/roll limitations and automatic comparisons that can be easily turned on and off with the flip of a switch. This makes this model the simplest WACO ever created.
Telemetry support
The UMX WACO is equipped with a control unit that includes an ESC and a Spektrum receiver capable of providing real-time flight battery voltage telemetry. Function works with compatible transmitters equipped with Spektrum AirWare (e.g. DX6e and 8e, DX6 G2/3 and 8 G2, DX9, NX6 to 20, iX12 to 20 and others) during flight.
Higher performance
The factory-installed brushless drive system includes an outrunner motor that is compatible with both 2S and 3S batteries. With 2S batteries (280-300 mAh, may need JST-RCY to JST-PH adapter) it provides performance similar to the original model. With 3S batteries (300 mAh), it offers higher speed and unlimited climbing power.
Realistic craftsmanship, lightweight construction and immediate flight readiness
The model contains a number of mock-up details, including imitation knitting and pilot figure with scarf. The model is available in two colour variants: a fully painted yellow version and a lighter white unpainted version with printed elements. The construction of advanced EPS material ensures low weight and high durability. In the event of damage that cannot be repaired, a full range of spare parts is available. The UMX WACO is 100% factory assembled and ready to fly right out of the box. It features Spektrum's industry-leading 2.4 GHz technology and can be easily paired with any 5+ channel transmitter with DSMX/DSM2 technology. You can be in the air within minutes of unpacking.
Suitable for advanced beginners and more experienced pilots
Skill Level 2 models are suitable for pilots with some experience and ability to build, set up and fly models of a similar class. Although this is the simplest WACO model, it is still not suitable as a first RC aircraft or as the "next step after a trainer" for pilots with minimal experience. You should be able to handle driving the more powerful ultra-micro models, like the various versions of UMX Timber, or larger models, like the E-flite T-28 Trojan 1.1 m, Commander mPd 1.4 m, Timber 1.5 m and other similar machines.
Flight stability and safety with AS3X and SAFE
The Bind-N-Fly Basic model is equipped with a Spektrum 2.4 GHz DSMX receiver with AS3X (Artificial Stabilization-3-aXis) technology, which smooths out wind and turbulence effects and provides exceptional stability and accuracy. The result is the feeling that you're driving a bigger, more refined model. If this is your first model of this type, or if you want a greater margin of safety when familiarizing yourself with the model, you can activate the optional SAFE Select flight envelope protection already integrated in the receiver. No programming is required - just adjust the pairing order according to the manual.
