The F-16 Thunderbirds with 70mm blower (EDF) is a detailed replica of the single pilot version of the F-16C, which entered production in 1984. The mock-up is almost as large as some 90mm models, but thanks to its efficient propulsion, it offers better flight characteristics and longer time in the air - even when using conventional 6-cell batteries with a capacity of 3200-4000 mAh. The model is completely painted in white with red and blue Thunderbirds style colouring. The visuals are complemented by realistic details and functional elements, including the landing gear, which is among the most faithful ever used on an EDF-powered F-16.

The F-16 Thunderbirds 70mm EDF by E-flite is a very advanced and realistic model of the legendary air show aircraft. It offers elaborate mock-up details - such as molded panels, imitation antennas, sensors, lights and other elements - that take the fidelity of the processing to a whole new level.
Top-notch layout features, powerful powertrain and realistic sound
The model is equipped with functional details such as LED navigation and landing lights, full-motion elevators, optional flaperons and sequential landing gear doors. It also includes the most realistic retractable landing gear ever used on an EDF F-16. The BNF Basic version includes a redesigned 12-blade 70mm blower fan (V2), a powerful 2100Kv AC motor and a Spektrum Avian 100 A Smart ESC. With the popular 6S LiPo batteries (3200-4000 mAh), it provides great performance and a sound very similar to a jet engine.
Stabilisation and intelligent electronics
The model is equipped with the AR8360T receiver with AS3X technologies and optional SAFE Select. Using a compatible transmitter, the receiver and controller can transmit live telemetry data such as voltage, current, motor speed and other information - even with conventional (non-Smart) batteries.
Reverse thrust and safe handling
The optional engine reverse function reduces the range after landing and facilitates handling on the ground. The model is designed to resist damage during handling - the edges of the covers, inlets and other exposed parts are reinforced with plastic elements.
Quick assembly and durable construction
The entire hull is made of durable, high-strength EPO foam. Thanks to the glueless assembly, the model can be prepared for flight much faster than other models of this class. Comes fully painted with Thunderbirds motif - white, red and blue including detailed cockpit cover and pilot figure.
Advanced technology for easy flying
The high-performance F-16 is equipped with AS3X and optional SAFE Select technologies. The AS3X provides stable flight and suppresses wind effects, giving the impression of a much larger machine. SAFE Select adds pitch limitation and auto-leveling - perfect for beginners or calm flying. Activation is easy and without programming. In addition, the AR8360T receiver allows you to control additional functions (e.g. LED afterburner) using channels 7 and 8.
Smart electronics with telemetry
The Spektrum Avian 100 A Smart controller provides real-time data on voltage, current, motor speed and other parameters - even when using conventional batteries. Full compatibility with Spektrum AirWare equipped transmitters. When using Smart batteries, it also displays the voltage of each cell and the temperature. Optional reverse thrust function improves handling after landing. A GPS sensor can also be added to display speed, distance and other data during flight.
Powerful EDF powertrain
The V2 version with 12-blade blower, 2100Kv AC motor and 100A regulator offers excellent performance and a wide speed range in combination with 6S batteries (3200-4000 mAh). The throttle response is instantaneous and the sound is reminiscent of a real turbine. Moreover, it is more efficient than many 90mm EDF systems. The F-16 model has precise shapes and a wealth of detail - from molded panels and cowls to simulated antennas, indicators and sensors. The overall appearance matches the real Thunderbirds aircraft. The electric retractable chassis includes metal parts, sprung and painted legs with a realistic look. The chassis door is servo-controlled, with detailed internal workmanship. The front light is automatically switched on when the chassis is extended.
SAFE Select - the beginner's guide
Optional activation of SAFE Select technology adds:
Tilt Restriction - the model will not turn upside down or dive at a dangerous angle.
Automatic leveling - after releasing the levers, the aircraft will level off.
Easy on/off - functions can be switched on with a switch without complicated programming.
If you don't want SAFE, simply pair the model in the normal way and only the AS3X stabilization remains active.
