New buildings in the landscape

The eighth expansion for Carcassonne introduces new buildings to the landscape, bringing new tactical options. Use bridges to upgrade your paths. Lure the ladies of the court to the newly built castles where valuable points will be waiting for you. And farmers will appreciate the new barns, which will bring them bonus points in the final scoring. The Bridges and Castles expansion contains three modules that can be combined with the base game and other expansions. The bridges allow you to extend the path over a card with only a meadow on opposite sides. For a closed path with a bridge, you get 3 points for each card with a bridge instead of one.

All new cards and figures can be combined with the base game

The castle can be built on a small city composed of two cards. If your knight stands in such a city, he will turn into a lady-in-waiting. Castle is evaluated during the game - when you decide to place a Queen on a Castle, you get one point for each Knight and Queen on the game board. The barn is built on a meadow at the touching point of four cards with only the meadow in the corner. If you have a farmer in such a meadow, you can move him to a newly built barn and gain a point for each farmer on the game board.
