Bring the swift, messengers and scarecrows into play with the Swift and Messengers expansion for Carcassonne. Like the other expansions, you can't play this one without the base game, but you can combine it with other expansions. This expansion brings new pieces with unique abilities and 12 new landscape cards to the game.

All new cards and figures can be combined with the base game

Rychtář competes for the favour of the nobility. When his card is surrounded on all four sides, you may replace one of your opponent's Knights with your own. Once you attach a Town Hall card, all adjacent territory on that side is considered closed. Fasters from adjacent cards are summoned to the Assembly and returned to the stock. Send your messengers out into the world, who are just as powerful as regular companions. Once the journey is complete, you can move the messenger to a neighbouring city or to another neighbouring road. You can place a scarecrow on meadows that are occupied. Once the Scarecrow card is surrounded on all four sides, you can turn it into a Peasant and place it on the game board, where it will count as a standard full-strength teammate. The Fast and Furious expansion offers new strategic options and is a great choice for players who want to spice up their game even more.
