RC model Axial AXP8 Gilamon 4X4 in 1:8 scale is a favorite of crawlers for overcoming obstacles and trial driving. Its unique features give it great driving capabilities, plus it's ready for further upgrades. The new AXP8 chassis features AF16P portal axles with 4-point suspension. The rear axle is equipped with the revolutionary ASD (Axial Selectable Drive) function, which allows the rear left or right wheel to be remotely locked via the transmitter for an even smaller turning circle and significantly improved manoeuvrability.

Durable, powerful and ready for any terrain
Designed with a focus on durability, realistic appearance and maximum off-road capability, the model combines the latest Axial technologies with advanced handling capabilities. At the heart of the chassis are the AF16P portal axles, which increase the height and thus the ability to overcome obstacles without contact with the ground.
Front and portal axle
The AF16P and the new AT6 advanced transmission are also designed to accept the optional ASD (not factory installed). Thanks to the included 5-channel receiver, you only need to add a servo and a multi-channel transmitter to get these additional functions (the 5-channel transmitter and the mentioned servos are not included). With the optional ASD on the front axle, you can lock one of the front wheels and with the optional ASD in the transmission, you can lock both rear wheels as on SCX10 III models with DIG. The AF16P portal axles increase the height of the model and allow better ground clearance. The rear axle comes with factory installed ASD (Axial Selectable Drive) and the front axle is ASD compatible.
4WD and driveshaft WB12
It is powered by a generously sized Axial Boulder 550 21T DC motor that sends high torque, via durable WB12 driveshafts, to officially licensed 2.2" Raceline Avenger wheels with 5.5" Mickey Thompson Baja Boss M/T tires. The 21-thread design offers the perfect combination of power and speed. The body consists of a frame cage with a cockpit and figures of the driver and navigator. For night rides, LED lights are mounted on the frame to illuminate each bike. It is possible to switch between different lighting colours. Branded Spektrum electronics are used - 70A controller with Smart telemetry, DX3 transmitter and SR515 receiver. The S682 steering servo is equipped with metal gears, as is the SX117AX servo controlling the ASD function on the rear axle. The WB12's durable front and rear driveshafts offer the durability needed to withstand the rocks and rugged trails.
Servos and DC controller SPEKTRUM FIRMA 70A
The Spektrum S682 servo steering with metal gears has a standard 25T millisphere, an aluminium lever for extra strength and is waterproof for unstoppable driving. For the ASD (Axial Selectable Drive) system a Spektrum SPMSSX117AX micro servo with metal gears is used. The model control is provided by the modern SPEKTRUM FIRMA 70A controller, which is able to sense telemetry and transmit it to the receiver via an integrated wire in the new IC3 connector. The data is transmitted via the SRXL2 protocol. Battery cell voltage information is read directly from the Smart battery (Spektrum Smart battery must be used for telemetry). The electronics are completely encased in a special potting material that prevents moisture or dirt from entering the electronics. The controller is switched on and adjusted by means of buttons under the rubber cover.
Spektrum SR515 DSMR and RC transmitter Spektrum DX3 2.4GHz DSMR
The new generation SR515 DSMR receiver in micro design weighs only 6g. Choice of SmartSafe™ or "Gas" Failsafe, push button pairing. DSMR technology ensures full range and fast receiver response. The design of the box is with rounded corners and thanks to the pairing button you don't need a pairing connector. SmartSafe™ Failsafe and "Gas Mode" is available when pairing. It also offers a secure DSMR modulation protocol and a high frame rate of 5.5 ms. It is compatible with SMART telemetry,(compatible DMSR transmitter with SPEKTRUM dashboard application). The new Spektrum DX3 RC transmitter has 3 channels and is compatible with Spektrum Smart telemetry. Excellent range, super fast response and high immunity to interference thanks to Spektrum's exclusive DSMR technology. It also allows you to quickly set the necessary parameters.
Features of the AT6 gearbox and IS10 aluminium shock absorbers
Axial emphasizes durability and versatility with its all-new AT6 gearbox. The transmission includes an Underdrive function that slows the rear axle by 30%. It is also designed to accept the ADS feature that locks both rear wheels at once (not factory installed). The Gilamon RC car model has brand new oil-filled aluminium shock absorbers with integrated internal spring for perfect damping and realistic appearance. The 4-element suspension geometry reduces the effects of torque twisting.
