TEXTILOMANIE Impermeable mattress protector quilted 120 × 200 cm

TEXTILOMANIE Impermeable mattress protector quilted 120 × 200 cm
For a double bed measuring 120×200cm, use a protector of the same size. Thanks to the elastic bands sewn into the corners, you can easily attach it even to deep mattresses. The elastic bands are flexible and strong, ensuring the protector does not slip during sleep. Mattress protection is more important than you think. Everyone, whether a child or an adult, naturally sweats. During the night, we sweat up to a litre of moisture, which absorbs into the bedsheet and the mattress core. A mattress protector improves overall bed hygiene. It also protects against mechanical damage, dirt, dust mites, sweat and urine. It is an ideal helper for cots or first beds, but it is just as useful for adults as standard mattress protection, as well as for seniors or long-term bedbound patients. This waterproof protector creates a protective, liquid-proof layer. You do not have to worry about feeling like you are sleeping on plastic – the top layer of the protector is made of microfibre, which is gentle on the skin and pleasant to the touch.
Waterproof layer
Waterproof mattress protectors are made using special technology that ensures liquid absorption while maintaining comfort. The impermeable part consists of a polypropylene layer on the underside of the protector, which is closest to the mattress. A soft microfibre top layer ensures comfort during sleep. Hollow fibre is placed between these layers. Hollow fibre has insulating properties, is lightweight and does not flatten. It prevents the occurrence of dust mites, mould and bacteria, making it suitable for allergy and asthma sufferers. Easy attachment to the mattress – easily secure the waterproof mattress protectors to both children's and standard adult mattresses. Each protector features four flexible yet strong elastic bands in the corners. You can easily stretch and hook these under the mattress. Strong elastic bands ensure the protector does not slip during sleep and stays firmly in place.
Extending mattress lifespan
Maintaining mattress protectors is easy. Wash and dry the protector thoroughly before first use. To preserve the required properties, especially waterproofing, we recommend washing at temperatures up to 60 °C. Wash the protector every 14 days when changing your bed linen. Let the protector air-dry after washing; we do not recommend using a tumble dryer. Do not boil, bleach or use other chemical agents under any circumstances. The microfibre top layer does not require ironing. After washing and drying, it is hygienically clean and ready for use again.
Do you know who you are sleeping with?
You might think the only one you share a bed with is your partner or your dog, but you would be wrong. Unfortunately, tiny troublemakers – dust mites – sleep with us too. Beds provide the perfect climate for them. Dust mites love the warmth and moisture of bedding and mattresses. To survive, they only need darkness, moisture and a temperature of around 24 °C. We provide all these conditions every night, sweating up to a litre of moisture and shedding around 1.5g of skin flakes. Even if a mattress looks like new and meets all your requirements, the reality is much worse from a hygienic point of view. Over several years of use, dust mites and their waste accumulate in the mattress. This factor can lead to the development of asthma, allergies or atopic eczema. Protecting your mattress is essential to extend its lifespan and improve bed hygiene. Using a mattress protector is the solution. You can regularly air the protector in winter and summer, exposing it to high and low temperatures.
