Modern lens for Canon SLR cameras
The TAMRON SP AF 70-300mm F4-5.6 Di VC USD telephoto zoom lens uses an advanced optical design featuring modern technologies LD (Low Dispersion) and XLD (Extra Low Dispersion) made of specialized material to prevent chromatic aberration. This lets the TAMRON deliver sharper contrast and higher quality images compared to other zoom lens in its class.
Fast focusing with Ultrasonic Silent Drive
The USD (Ultrasonic Silent Drive) technology is based on Tamron's own ultrasonic AF (auto-focus) drive mechanism. This USD mechanism delivers very fast focusing, making it possible to shoot fast motion scenes, including sports, moving animals, vehicles, etc. with this lens.
Thanks to very fast focusing, TAMRON SP AF will be a favorite of sports photographers
Optical stabilizer
Shoot comfortably without a tripod with the use of Tamron's proprietary VC (Vibration Compensation) three-axis optical stabilizer. This feature is useful for capturing high-quality images at long focal range settings or under low light conditions.
1.5m is the minimum distance for effective focusing on the subject
