This universal lens has a redesigned construction and layout of its component. Its body is small and light and weighs only 450g. It features a fast and quiet PZD (Piezo Drive) ultrasonic motor and a high-performance Vibration Compensation VC system. Due to the image stabilisation, you get sharp photographs even when shooting handheld and using the longest focal length when a tripod would have to be used. The lens delivers superb image quality in its entire zoom range due to its advanced optical elements (LD, XR, ASL). The lens is designed exclusively for digital SLR cameras with the APS-C sensor.
