The Synology E25G30-F2 is an internal network card with two 25GbE SFP28 ports, designed for select Synology NAS systems. The device increases transfer speeds and throughput on enterprise networks. The PCIe 3.0 ×8 host bus interface is compatible with standard server expansion slots. Its two integrated SFP28 ports operate at speeds of 25Gb/s or 10Gb/s. The card supports both short-range and long-range optical modules, as well as direct attach copper (DAC) cables. It requires DSM version 7.1.1-42962 Update 5 to operate. Jumbo Frame support, ranging from 1.5KB to 9KB, reduces packet reassembly overhead. A larger frame size means fewer interruptions for the processor and a smoother data flow. TCP/UDP checksum offloading frees up computing power for other system tasks. Large database or video file transfers run without unnecessary delay.
