SteelSeries Rival 500

The SteelSeries Rival 500 was designed with an emphasis on precision in the MMO/MOBA games. This was achieved by the redesigned position of the side programmable buttons. These buttons are now placed where they can be reached more easily by the natural movement of the thumb, giving you more confidence in finding them. The mouse also features "flick-down" buttons, located along the bottom edge and making it even easier to control the mouse, as they are activated by simply swiping the thumb downwards. Other buttons are located right next to the main buttons. Two are on the left, one on the right, and one, which is used for adjusting sensitivity, is above the wheel. You can also tilt and press the wheel in addition to scrolling.

Vibration Feedback

The built-in Tactile Alerts technology is a speciality of this mouse, allowing you to feel the different stimuli in a game, such as alerts on an empty ammo magazine or low health and mana. All this without losing concentration. Once you feel the gentle vibration impulses, you can quickly react and avoid critical situations. These alerts can be distinguished by the intensity and length of vibrations and you can choose from a wide variety of preset options, which can be adjusted using the SteelSeries Engine software. 

Shaping with an Emphasis on Maximum Comfort

The reinforced buttons evenly distribute the force of each click and the switches achieve a service life of up to 30 million clicks. If you would like to just surf the Internet for a while or view some photos, the mechanical switch on the underside will lock up all the additional buttons, so you can relax your thumb without worrying about accidentally pressing a button. All the angles, edges, curves and also rubber grips of the mouse were carefully designed so that using the mouse is comfortable even after several hours of use.

Full Control with the SteelSeries Engine

The PixArt optical sensor 3360 offers a top sensitivity of 16000dpi. The resolution is easily changed using the SteelSeries Engine 3 software, where you can customise the Rival 500 mouse to your taste and habits - assign functions to the buttons, change the effects of the LED backlighting, adjust the frequency of response time, adjust the sensor response based on height (lift-off distance), and of course, last but not least, assign macros.
