The SpurTex V100 FFP2 NR nano respirator from the Czech nanotechnology company Spur is a very effective respiratory protective device. It is designed for everyone who needs a higher degree of protection. The seven-layer respirator contains a highly efficient nanomaterial filter membrane, which has a proven capture of 98.5% for submicron particles (20-400 nm), which corresponds to FFP2 filtration. It is thus ideal for capturing viruses (30-150 nm), bacteria, smog or allergens.
The SpurTex® nano respirator is disposable or, if necessary, can be sterilized 3-5 times using germicidal (UV-C) lamps. It can normally be worn for up to 8 hours depending on the environment in which it is used. SpurTex V100 FFP2 NR has a reinforced mouldable edge to perfectly adapt to any face shape and thus maximize its filtration ability.
The nano respirator is made of SpurTex PP L2 V3, a 7-layer laminate formed on the surface of non-woven polypropylene fabrics and a specially developed active nanofiber filter layer of PVDF (polyvinylidene fluoride) polymer prepared using the latest unique electrostatic field polymer spinning technology. The nanofiber filter polymer layer is firmly fixed between the surface layers, which guarantees good final mechanical properties of the respirator and at the same time eliminates the possibility of damage to very fine polymer nanofibers during handling and use.
The nanofiber is invisible to the human eye. It is up to 1000 times thinner than hair. Thanks to this, the filter membrane can be spun out so thick or with such small openings that bacteria, viruses and allergens do not pass through them. At the same time, the Spur company produces nanofibers by means of electrospinning, which results in fibers that are exceptionally thin with the highest filtration capabilities. The nanofibers are then spun with a membrane with a tested capture of 20-400 nm particles.
The SPURTEX® PP L2 V3 material, from which the SpurTex® V100 FFP2 NR nano respirator is made, fully complies with the requirements of the European standard EN 149: 2001 + A1: 2009 for particle filter half-masks and meets the FFP2 quality class. SPURTEX® PP L2 V3 is manufactured in accordance with ISO 9001 and ISO 28000 standards.
Respirator installation:
The SPURTEX® V100 FFP2 NR nano respirator is applied to the face so that it covers the nose and mouth. Its fixation is performed by means of a pair of elastic side strips behind the ears and a thin metal strip, which after fitting is shaped by the fingers so that the respirator copies the shape of the nose as best as possible. Washing or ironing of the material is not recommended
The SPURTEX® V100 FFP2 NR nano respirator does not provide any protection against gases. The amount of oxygen in the environment when using the respirator must be at least 17%.
Respirator maintenance:
The SpurTex respirator is categorized as a disposable material. Its excellent filtration properties are maintained only for a very limited time depending on the environment in which it is used. In normal use, after 8 hours there is a significant concentration of dangerous particles (bacteria, viruses, etc. ) ) in a nanofiber filter and in a contaminated environment must therefore be changed frequently. The nanofiber structure itself is not treated with any antimicrobial treatment.
Respirator sterilization:
If necessary, the respirator can be sterilized 3-5 times. The recommended method of sterilization is using germicidal (UV-C) lamps. Other sterilization methods must be addressed with the manufacturer.
