Carbohydrates are the most important source of energy during prolonged medium- to high-intensity training. After a tough workout or competition, your muscles and liver are likely depleted of glycogen, and a key goal of recovery is to replenish these glycogen stores quickly. With this in mind, fructose is a carbohydrate source preferred by the liver and used to replenish liver glycogen stores, while maltodextrin can be directly absorbed by the muscles to replenish muscle glycogen stores. To maximise glycogen replenishment, it is recommended to consume 1g of carbohydrate per 1kg of body weight, which is why BETA Recovery contains 60g of carbohydrates per serving.

Preparation
Add 100g of powder (four full scoops) to 500ml of cold water and shake. For best results, consume within 30 minutes of finishing your workout. Muscle and liver glycogen storage is accelerated when carbohydrates are consumed immediately after training.
