Shimano Reel Nasci FD 2500

The Shimano Nasci FD 2500 spinning reel combines advanced technology with an affordable price. This model is designed for anglers who demand smooth, reliable performance even under load. Thanks to technologies like HAGANE Gear and X-SHIP, it offers robust performance, while Infinity Drive and Silent Drive ensure a quiet, smooth retrieve. The G Free Body construction shifts the centre of gravity closer to the rod, reducing fatigue during long fishing sessions. The reel is suitable for a wide range of spinning techniques.

Performance and reliability under load

At the heart of the reel is HAGANE Gear technology, which ensures durability and reliability. The main drive gear is crafted using a cold-forging process from a single piece of aluminium, with no additional machining. This achieves high strength and tooth precision, withstanding even long-term, intensive use. This technology is complemented by the X-SHIP system, which stabilises the pinion gear with bearings at both ends. The result is a smooth power transfer from the handle to the rotor, even when fighting a powerful fish.

Smooth and quiet operation

Infinity Drive and Silent Drive technologies ensure smooth and quiet operation. The Infinity Drive system reduces friction between the shaft and the pinion gear, making winding easier and increasing sensitivity. You'll appreciate this especially when tackling larger fish, as less force is needed to turn the handle. Silent Drive technology focuses on minimising operational noise and vibrations. Thanks to the precise engineering of the internal components, the reel's operation is almost silent and free from any unwanted play.

Accurate casting and protection from the elements

For long and accurate casts, the reel is equipped with an AR-C spool featuring Coreprotect. The special V-shaped lip of the spool allows the line to leave in smaller loops, which reduces friction and increases casting distance. Coreprotect, with its IPX4 rating, shields key internal parts, such as the clutch and bearing, from splashing water. Another new feature is the Anti-Twist Fin, which maintains correct line tension and prevents twisting and tangling during retrieve.
