The Quell under-sink filter unit in a clean and compact design is a convenient solution for water filtration with minimal space requirements. This two-stage device uses a combination of two filters - the CarbonBlock and the Disruptor to achieve near-perfect filtration. This removes all undesirable substances from the water, such as. bacteria, parasites, viruses, microorganisms, heavy metals, chlorine, drug residue, microplastics and many others. It also neutralises odours and improves the taste of water. At the same time, it preserves all the important minerals in the water. Also included is a chrome faucet that fits perfectly in any kitchen. You'll appreciate that everything you need for a smooth installation is included in the package.
Unique filtering technology
The Quell two-stage flow-through sub-basin filter unit uses Disruptor technology, which was originally developed for NASA and is one of the most innovative water filters on the market today. The filter is based on nano aluminium fibres with a crystalline structure that generate a positive electrical charge when water flows through them. Most impurities have a negative electrical charge and are therefore attracted to the nano aluminium fibres and are 99.9% inactivated. This process is called electroadsorption. The Disruptor's filtering ability is enhanced by a layer of powdered activated carbon to remove odours and smells from the water. An additional layer of antimicrobial disinfectant silver prevents the growth of bacteria in the filter and ensures consistent water quality throughout the life of the filter. The Disruptor filter filters significantly more dirt than hollow fibre, activated carbon or UV filters.
Does not require high pressure, electricity or chemicals
This Quell filter unit with Disruptor technology does not require electricity to operate due to its high flow rate and high dirt holding capacity. This also eliminates maintenance worries and minimises the space requirements for the filtration plant. The optimum water pressure should be in the range of 100-400 kPa. The system can only filter water at a temperature of 4-38 °C and is therefore not suitable for hot water filtration.
