How it works and temperature limits

The bivvy works by reflecting thermal radiation, not through traditional insulation. At temperatures around 10°C and above, it is fully suitable for emergency overnight stays. In the range of 0 to 10°C, it can be used, but with a higher risk of feeling cold. Below freezing, it serves primarily as an additional layer to another sleeping bag or for short-term survival. It is important to note that the bivvy does not provide insulation from the ground, so it is always necessary to use a sleeping mat or other suitable pad for comfort.
