Luminous flux
Measured in Lumens (lm), the higher the value, the more intensely the head torch shines. Some LED head torches offer multiple light intensity levels, adjustable either in steps or continuously. However, a higher luminous flux shortens the battery life.Up to 100 lm – a head torch for home use (lighting in the cellar, attic, or when repairing a car).
100–400 lm – outdoor use (night running, cycling, camping).
Over 400 lm – extreme professions and sports (rescue workers, mountaineers).
