The OUTEQ FL3 is a compact rechargeable torch with seven LEDs and a wide beam that evenly illuminates the entire area around you. 3700lm output from seven LEDs
The light source consists of seven LEDs behind a fixed optic. For the most powerful Turbo mode, the manufacturer specifies a luminous flux of 3700lm with a rated power consumption of 35W. This amount of light is cast in a wide beam, so you can illuminate a workshop, a yard or the area around a tent all at once, rather than concentrating the energy into a single narrow spot.
Wide beam for the whole scene
The optic has a fixed focus and disperses light in a wide cone. The main focus of the light is in the near to mid-range, where you can evenly illuminate the entire area in front of you, not just one distant point. It has a range of 150m, so the FL3 isn't designed for long distances; its strength is providing a clear view of your immediate surroundings. The fixed focus also means you don't have to waste time with adjustments – the beam angle always stays the same.
Six lighting modes
The torch offers six modes: Low, Medium, Strong, Strobe, SOS and Turbo. You can cycle through them with the side button, or double-click to jump straight to Turbo when you need full power instantly. The lower modes are useful for reading a map or moving around the house during a power cut, while Strobe and SOS are for attracting attention or calling for help. The entire torch is controlled with a single button, so you can operate it even while wearing gloves.
Replaceable 26650 cell and USB-C charging
Inside, a single replaceable 26650 cell with a declared capacity of 3500mAh does the work. It's not sealed in the body, so after years of charging cycles, you can swap it for a new one and the torch will continue to serve you, instead of ending up in the bin because of a worn-out battery. It recharges via a USB-C port directly in the body, without removing the cell or needing a separate charger. The input is 5V⎓1A and the charging time is approximately 5h. The battery life per charge depends on the mode: approximately 5h in Strong mode and approximately 3h on full Turbo.
Compact aluminium body
The body measures 118×41×33mm, so it fits in your palm and pocket, and you can operate it with one hand. It is made of an aluminium alloy that dissipates heat at full power and gives the torch the rigidity needed for outdoor use. The IP44 rating protects it against rain, snow and dust, but not against immersion in water. There is a HOT warning on the head, as the surface around the LEDs heats up after prolonged use at higher power.
