Two-layer construction for extreme conditions

The Expedition thermal base layer is built on a two-layer construction that combines the properties of two different knits. The inner layer of 100% merino wool is designed to effectively wick moisture away from the body, keeping your skin dry. The outer layer consists of 90% merino wool, supplemented with 10% polyamide. This addition of polyamide increases the mechanical resistance of the knit and contributes to a longer lifespan. Together, these layers provide thermal insulation even at very low temperatures.

The cut of the thermal base layer takes into account the needs of active movement in winter. Flatlock seams prevent chafing, which you'll appreciate especially when wearing a backpack or additional layers of clothing.
