The 4 Max Scout has a 4.8 mm thick blade made of Japanese AUS 10A steel. AUS 10A is a martensitic, stainless steel that has very good strength properties and is mainly led as a material for cutting tools. Compared to the AUS 8A, it holds the blade better and is more resistant to abrasion. The steel was then heat-treated for the perfect balance between holding the blade and easy re-sharpening. The handle is made of Griv-Ex material. It is a handle material with unique properties and is significantly stronger than Zy-Ex. The material is not subject to humidity, temperature changes, does not warp. The deep texture offers amazing anti-slip properties of the handle. This knife features a lock with a unique Tri-Ad Lock patent. The lock prevents the knife from closing spontaneously or unintentionally even after natural wear over time.
