TSA lock
TSA lock systems, marked with a red diamond symbol, are primarily designed to allow luggage to be easily opened for inspection without damage. This can also speed up the inspection process. TSA security officers can open and inspect luggage with this type of lock without having to destroy it. All TSA locks are marked with a code from TSA001 to TSA007, which corresponds to the type of universal key used to open them. Keys for TSA locks are not sold publicly and are only available to TSA personnel. After inspecting your luggage, these officers are required to place an inspection notice in your suitcase and must re-lock it.
