How it works and materials used
The weighted blanket works on the therapeutic principle of deep pressure, known as Deep Touch Pressure. This pressure simulates the feeling of a hug, which helps to calm the nervous system and release tension. The filling consists of glass microbeads, which are evenly distributed across the entire surface thanks to stitching into small 5×5cm pockets. This ensures that the weight does not shift and the pressure is applied consistently. The polyester sherpa surface fabric is soft and warm, making the blanket suitable for use in colder months.
