The main character of Sleeping Dogs is Wei Shen
He's an undercover police officer who has to penetrate the underworld in Hong Kong. He knows the environment well from his childhood spent here.
A secret agent with a split personality
Wei Shen renews acquaintances from his former gang and gains a new family. The question arises as to where Wei's loyalty remained. The police force or a small handful of the underworld?
Duality games
In each mission you have two items that change according to your behaviour.
The tougher you fight gangs, the more experience you have in the Triad column.
The more you destroy private property, kill civilians, the more your experience in the police column drops. And you need both.
Close combat is the key
You can chain your attacks into combos, but the key is to counterattack. You have to watch the scene and not just mindlessly pound on your opponent. Different opponents require different strategies according to weight, armament, aggression.
Definitive Edition
Includes all downloadable content released so far. In the re-release you will find a lot of smaller packages with new vehicles and items, but also two proper story supplements that are worthwhile. One of them is Nightmare in North-Point. It's a horror-tinged encore that runs up to three hours, with Hong Kong infested with the walking dead, vampires and demons.
