SIGMA 500mm F4.5 APO EX DG for Canon

SIGMA 500mm F4.5 APO EX DG is one of the largest telephoto lenses in the SIGMA range of lenses. This precise, perfectly-worked lens will satisfy even the most demanding photographer. A 500mm focal length makes it predisposed to capture more extreme shots. High optical performance is ensured over the entire focus range. The built-in HSM motor provides silent and high-speed focus. The length of the lens is 350mm at a minimum focal length of 400cm.
This lens is specially coated to get the best colour balance whilst cutting down on ghosting caused by reflections from the digital image sensor. In the optical system consisting of 11 members in 8 groups, two ELD members are included. Two ELD glass elements provide optimum colour correction and sharpness, and a new multi-layer lens coating technology and optical formula reduces flare and ghosting. This also ensures an accurate colour balance and high definition results.

The lens has excellent optical properties, excellent mechanical processing and high quality materials. The lens can be combined with SIGMA 1.4x and 2x teleconverters.
