The SIGMA 300 mm F2.8 APO EX DG is the "shortest" SIGMA telephoto lens. This precise, perfectly crafted lens should satisfy even the most demanding photographer. Its 300 mm focal length makes it suitable for extreme conditions without any loss in image quality and the lens maintains high optical performance throughout the entire focus range. A built-in HSM motor ensures quiet operation and high-speed autofocus. The lens is 214.5 mm long and has a minimum focusing distance of 250 cm.
A new multi-layer lens coating technology reduces flare and ghosting. The optical system consists of 11 elements in 9 groups, including two ELD elements. These ensure ultra-low dispersion, reduce chromatic aberration to a minimum, and provide crisp, high-quality image while retaining full contrast.
The lens has excellent optical properties, perfect mechanical design, and is made of premium materials. The lens can be combined with SIGMA 1.4x and 2x teleconverters.
