Samyang AF 12mm f/2.0 Fuji X

Samyang's first ultra-wide-angle autofocus lens for the Fuji X mount. APS-C camera users who prefer to use AF lenses can now easily capture large-scale scenery in excellent image quality. Clear images without distortion or vignetting, exceptional image quality from the centre to the corners of the image, even at the maximum aperture of F2. Samyang 12mm f/2.0 is designed for shooting wide landscapes and scenes with an extreme wide angle of up to 99.1°. The optical design of the lens uses three extra-low dispersion elements, an aspherical element and a hybrid aspherical element to help improve the quality of photographs by reducing unwanted distortion, aberrations and colour aberrations.

High luminosity and advanced optical treatment for perfect images

UMC (Ultra Multi-Coating), a 14-layer special coating, has also been applied to all lens elements to reduce surface reflections and prevent unwanted flare and shadows. An important feature of the lens is its f/2.0 aperture, so it can capture a sufficient amount of light even in challenging lighting conditions. This gives photographers more control over depth of field and effectively separates the subject from the background. 7 lens hood blades create smooth and natural bokeh and an impressive starburst effect.

Fast and silent focusing with close-up shooting

Samyang's linear STM (stepper) motor satisfies photographers and videographers with quieter and more precise autofocus control. The fast and smooth operation of the lens is also suitable for video shooting, as the lens is suitable for use on a gimbal in combination with Fujifilm's small and lightweight X-series cameras. The minimum focusing distance is 20cm, which allows you to get closer to your subject and makes it easy to photograph architecture in confined spaces, food on a table or capture pets from an unusual perspective, for example.

Compact design and durability in a modern design

The Samyang 12mm f/2.0 has a metal bayonet and plastic tube, with a matte finish and subtle red ring (depending on the angle of view) giving it a modern look. The lens has a single control, a rubberized focusing ring with a microsensor. Unlike most lenses designed for the Fuji X series, it does not have a traditional aperture ring. There is also a weather seal and rear protective glass to protect the lens from light rain and dust.
