SAFEHOME Test spray for SAFE400 detectors

SAFEHOME Test spray for SAFE400 detectors
The SAFE 400 test kit is designed to check the functionality of carbon monoxide (CO) detectors and tobacco smoke detectors. It contains a special test aerosol that ssimulates the presence of target gases and allows verification of the correct response of the detection device. The kit includes an application attachment that provides directed dosing of the test substance without direct contact with the sensor. It is simple, fast and safe to use, without the need to dismantle the detector. The kit is suitable for professional and domestic use and is compatible with a wide range of commonly available gas and smoke detectors. Tests all CO detectors according to BS/ČSN/EN 50291 and UL 2034, including tobacco smoke detectors, does not contain harmful CFCs.

Key features of the SAFE 400 test kit for CO and tobacco smoke detectors
- Designed for testing CO and tobacco smoke detectors
- Kit includes test aerosol and application attachment
- Allows verification of functionality without disassembling the device
- Compatible with most standard detectors
- Spray lasts for 10 complete tests
Method of conducting a CO detector test:
Place the CO detector in the foil insulation sleeve. Place the included capillary tube on the plastic spray bottle. Insert the tube into the insulation sleeve with the detector and seal the sleeve by tightening the ends of the cords around the perimeter of the insulation sleeve. Do not remove any air that remains in the housing. Squeeze the atomizer for 3 s. Pull out the capillary tube and reseal the housing by tightening the cords. The detector sensor should trigger the alarm within 3 minutes. If the alarm does not sound, repeat the test after 15 minutes. If the alarm does not sound even after repeated testing, replace the detector with a new one. When testing is complete, remove the detector from its housing and temporarily place it in a location that provides access to fresh air, e.g. near an open window. Up to 10 tests can be performed with one can. The detector should be checked with a test gas when the detector is installed and thereafter as part of its regular inspection every 6 months in a well-ventilated room.
Method of conducting the tobacco detector test:
The test can be performed without placing the detector in an isolation housing. Hold the capillary tube at a distance of 3 - 5 cm from the sensor chamber and squeeze the nebulizer for about 1 s. The detector sensor should trigger the alarm within a few seconds.
