Right after I bought it, it became my #1 EDC. It doesn't matter if I use it at work to disassemble a keyboard, trim caps, screw screws, measure pipes, drain radiators, tear off foil, signing dodos, disassemble plastic strapping or carve things out of wood, watch spiders with a magnifying glass, clip oysters on fishing line, cut duct tape, open bottles and cans, pull out splinters or other splinters. I'm tightening my friend's loose eyeglass legs. It is a versatile helper whose size and weight is on the edge of my maximum. He's got just about everything you can think of. I recommend buying some sort of hanger or case for it. I use the "VICTORINOX long chain belt clip" I have a knife on a short chain (in my front pocket) on a long key chain (in my back pocket).
The all-rounder ideal as an EDC
Fully equipped (a pin and a corkscrew for the corkscrew usually have to be purchased)
The reamer has a hole for the thread.
The file has a coarse and fine side
The splashguards are comfortable to hold (they don't cut into your hand) and the knife doesn't make any mischief in your pocket either.
The blades, tweezers and toothpick can be exchanged for other (colours), but this is the case with all Victorinox knives in the 91mm size.
The reamer/neck is a bit harder to open with the thumb (the finger joint rests on the corkscrew). When the corkscrew goes up, it's better.
It's a little heavier in the pocket and in the hand. It can be a bit heavy and clumsy for a small hand. 91mm x 33mm, 185g.
A fine file would be better with a diamond like the Leatherman multitools have.
The pliers are more suited for finer work thanks to the grip option.
