I bought this because I wanted to connect my XBox remote without a wire. It had some trouble pairing multiple times (with the driver, other things worked fine), so I updated the driver and now it just works natively on Windows. 10/10 value it-just-works thing.

The product works quite well, but I was not happy with the poor range. I have the PC under my desk and I connected the adapter so that I could see it without obstruction, but the sound in the headphones still dropped out sometimes. If I stood up from the table for more than 2 meters, I couldn't listen to the music at all. In comparison, if I use my phone with the headphones, I can walk around the apartment without any failure.

Star down for the fact that the manufacturer presents the AptX codec on their website and logically then here, but nowhere can it be verified how they use it. The product doesn't have any datasheet describing it, so whether it uses AptX instead of SBC is probably for good measure, whether it can do HD/LL, who knows. According to the drivers, it's Realtek's HW, which is good, and it's BT 5.0, finally.
I can easily recommend it, but if you want to be sure, you have to pay extra for Creative.

It took me about two hours to get it working, until I disabled all bluetooth devices in device manager out of necessity, and then with the internet disconnected, connected the adapter and installed the drivers. Only then did it take off. It works as a Bluetooth multifunction antenna, not as an audio transmitter, so the need to pair the device to a PC, not to an adapter.
Volume control does not work with it in Win10. ON/FF only, volume is controlled on the headphones, which is quite impractical for me - I have the volume control directly on the mouse or 5cm from my right hand on the keyboard. I was buying this to go with my new BT5.0 headphones as a replacement for a 5 year old Creative BT-W2 (BT2.1) audio transmitter, which I had no problems with at all. If I didn't have it at the dealership 50km away, I'd return it today.
