Although I would very much like to recommend Steamdeck, considering how it was expected, I have to admit that it is a heavy flop. The console is confusing, uninteresting, and despite the fact that it is intended for the hands, it is too heavy for you to be able to enjoy it for a long time without your hands dying. Hardly recommend.

regarding the battery, for some more demanding games count so 2h, but then for some less demanding like Slime rancher 1 you can have 5h.

Knowing that Steam decks at this price would no longer be available, I bought two with the intention of selling one and keeping the other (1TB vs 512gb OLED). I opted for the 512GB version and already regret not getting the 1TB. After getting used to the Linux OS, this is the best thing I've bought lately. Emulators, gaming, movies, work. The only drawback is the poor battery life during demanding activities, the battery doesn't even hold a charge only via USB. I recommend getting a power bank with min. with a power of 45W.

It's not a console! You have to take into account that this is a portable PC, it will only run smoothly those games that match the technical specifications of the Steam deck
For its size, the Steam deck is surprisingly powerful, I can play my favourite older games on it, but also newer, more demanding games, not on the highest graphics, but that was expected. I like the ability to switch to desktop mode, where you can do anything on a (Linux) computer.
It's nice that I can add apps and programs I install on Linux to Steam and then run them in normal Steam deck mode.

Absolutely does not work with Samsung TV and does not even have a UE socket. After a morning of experiments, even the Axagon generic hub for a few hundred dollars or the basic plastic hub from Alza worked better. Pretty disappointing.
The screen is just wobderful. Yes there are more powerful devices on the market. But the steam deck bundled with the steam OS is just unparalleled even in 2025
