The experience is bad, even appalling.
It only works as a USB hub, to, use the RJ-45 ethernet port you have to stash the driver somewhere and install it, and I haven't tried that because I don't trust the manufacturer's website (it looks like a pimp theatre or a Chinese opera box office) and I don't even have the drive on the included mini CD (maybe with drivers) anymore.
So this is the first and main disappointment.
Another unpleasant surprise awaited me right out of the box - the body of the product is not aluminum as advertised in the product description, but plain plastic sprayed in a metallic shade. It doesn't hinder function, but I was expecting aluminum to go with the aluminum body of the Apple.
Definitely with this bad product description and unexpected (non)functionality of the ethernet port Tomas ALZA Edison definitely lost it with me. I'll throw it at his head, alien.
Don't buy it, you'll save yourself the disappointment, overall it's a semi(non)functional piece of junk.
can be switched on and works as a USB hub, but that's it
hopefully it can be reversed, but that can't be taken as a positive point yet, I'm just writing it here to put it right at the top
the body is made of plastic and not aluminium as it is written in the product description
for using the RJ-45 (ethernet) port it does not work as plug and play, it requires a driver which is (maybe) on the included mini CD or has to be downloaded from the manufacturer's website - I haven't tried it, anyway it cannot be used as one would expect in the 21st century
it gets pretty hot even just as a USB hub without ethernet
