It was a nice change when we didn't have to suddenly check if there was water in the bowl. The fountain will let you know when the water is running low. Mazel got used to the fountain quickly. We now know he's not thirsty. And he won't be dehydrated.

Worked well for a time, my cat enjoyed it, but it was a pain to open and refill. You basically have to pry the top open with a screwdriver, which isn't very gentle and can send water splashing. Now, if you have the little brass connectors right next to said splashing water, they will corrode in an instant.
Mine lasted about two months before one of the connectors rusted beyond repair and it stopped working. My fountain is being replaced, but by the same model, meaning I expect to have to make another claim in about 2 months maximum, when the new one inevitably stops working for the same reason. I do not recommend this product. Buy other models who do not have such glaring design flaws.
